Detailed Edits of a Sci-Fi Novel
Inksight Studio did detailed edits for George Prins, working together to create a professional, presentable manuscript for his sci-fi novel, The Pearls of Death. The project included multiple rounds of editing per chapter and compiling the novel into a single manuscript. We also suggested alterations from a reader’s perspective to improve the plotline and character growth.
Detailed Edits of a Master's Thesis
These samples show the final round of editing for a Master’s degree thesis exploring ‘otherworldliness and death in avant-garde Japanese poster design’. During this round of edits, we did a final scan for any remaining errors and compiled the source list.

Website Copy for a Luxury Lodge in Limpopo, Naka Lodge
We wrote and refined the website copy for Naka Lodge, an eco-lodge in Limpopo, South Africa, that aims to bring people closer to the environment to be shaped by nature. The copy encourages visitors to explore the site and book a stay at Naka for a rejuvenating and relaxing experience in the harmony of the African savanna.
Blog Posts for Naka Lodge
Inksight Studio also does content writing, including longer-form blog posts for Naka Lodge to keep visitors informed and entertained. The blog posts reveal the latest news and most interesting stories that grow from the earth beside the majestic trees of Naka. The aim is to pay tribute to the wildlife, history, and people that call Naka home.

Translating Portfolio
Modern English Translation of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations
We translated George Long’s 1862 translation of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations with the help of ChatGPT 4 for Nicolene Rautenbach. The project required that we use ChatGPT to provide a translation of the older manuscript, which we then compared and edited for any necessary improvements using APA 7th Style.
Modern English Translation of Plato's The Republic
After translating Meditations, we also worked on B. Jowett’s 1871 translation of Greek philosopher Plato’s The Republic for Nicolene. The translation followed the same structure as Meditations, using ChatGPT to assist with translating and explanatory notes. Once translated, we compared the manuscripts and refined the translation to ensure ease of reading and logical flow.
English Translation of NatureKids' Biomes of South Africa Lesson
Inksight Studio helps the founder of Nature Kids translate her PowerPoint lessons from Afrikaans to English so she can reach a broader audience. The tone is casual and the language is easy to understand, since the lessons are written for children between two and twelve years old.
English Translation of NatureKids' Super Senses Biology Lesson
NatureKids also offers biology lessons that explain human biology and how everything within us works so well together. These lessons then go on to compare animals’ biology and give deeper insights into how nature was created to fit perfectly together.
Transcription Portfolio
Voice Note Transcriptions for Henno Engelbrecht
We assisted Henno Engelbrecht with transcribing 111 voice notes needed as a paper trail for a lawsuit. The voice notes were grouped into folders according to two or more participating parties, and Inksight Studio transcribed the voice notes for each folder to ensure the correct information stays together. We listened to each voice note three times to ensure we transcribe it as verbatim as possible. Once the transcriptions were finished, we organised them chronologically to ensure ease of use. Note that all names and details have been scratched out for privacy reasons.

Website Design for Green Environmental SA
We helped Pieter Colyn design a simple, practical, and aesthetically pleasing website for his company, Green Environmental SA, a consultancy committed to fostering responsible ecological management and development. The project included using WordPress to set up brand colours and fonts for the company and website, designing icons and graphics relevant to the brand, and writing all the copy for the website. We created a homepage to help clients understand what Green Environmental SA stands for and offers, as well as an about page that provides more insight into the company’s services and current and past projects. Finally, we set up a project library where clients and relevant individuals can express how the company’s current projects impact them.
Website Design for Eco Info & Associates (EIAA)
We redesigned Eco Info & Associates’ website for the CEO to improve aesthetics and enhance professionalism. Part of the redesign was rebranding. We updated the logo, refined the brand colours, and set fonts for consistency across the website. Each service is represented by an intricate graphic designed on Canva, along with the quick-fact icons on the homepage. While updating the website, we redesigned the homepage to ensure potential customers immediately understand what EIAA stands for and offers. We reorganised the general services page and individual service pages to present the various services neatly and clearly. The client gave us their pre-written copy, which we edited and built on where necessary.
Website Design for S. M. de Frey
We designed S. M. de Frey’s author page and built her brand to introduce the new author to her readers. The brand focuses on her personality and personal aesthetic rather than her writing, which spans across multiple genres. The main purpose of the website is to allow readers to get to know her and explore her short stories and novels. The homepage introduces how her journey as an author started, displays her debut novel, From the Ashes, gives readers a glimpse at some of her short stories, and invites readers to join her journey ahead. The about page expands on why she writes and what she aims for in the future. The Writing and Journal sections give readers an opportunity to read her fiction stories and non-fiction blog posts. Part of the novels section is two book trailers, also created by Inksight Studio with Adobe Firefly and Premiere.
